Koolva is a technology company serving the Indonesia tourism industry as a gateway platform to Indonesia. Our mission is to support and improve the Indonesia experience for international tourists, by introducing a wide selection of Indonesian cultures, heritages and natures to global audience while improving the life of people living in rural areas along the way.

Koolva connects local tour guide and local travel agent with the global tourism market directly, easily and hassle-free. This direct connection will improve the feel, relationship and experience of all people involved in the journey.

Academic Writer Internship (Trainee For M&C Copywriter in English)

 

What we look for:

Koolva is looking for an intern to join its collaborative marketing team in Jakarta/Bali. The right candidate will have and learn creative writing and marketing skills. The position will report to the Ninja team. Due to the high volume of applications received, ONLY pre-selected candidates will be contacted.

 

Position Responsibilities

Assist the Ninja team by providing written copy for ad units, webpages, marketing email blasts, and other marketing materials.

Work Hours/Durations/Reimbursement:

Full Time, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am-12:00pm

Duration: 3 Months

The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the office to which they are assigned.

Education

Applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second-level university or higher); be enrolled in the final academic year of a first level university degree programme (minimum Bachelors or equivalent); or have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. Be computer literate in standard software applications; have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the tourism industry and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Pancasila; and have demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

 

Work Experience

Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the programme. However, exposure relating to Africa and peacekeeping would be an asset.

 

Languages

English is the working languages of the Koolva Secretariat. For this internship position fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of Mandarin/Japanese/Russia is not required.

Duty Station:

For this position the Trainee will work either at the Koolva Secretariat in Jakarta or Koolva Office in Ubud – Bali, Indonesia. Please mention your preferred working location when applying for this position.

Indonesia-English Ninja Writer (Marketing and Communications Copywriter in English)

 

What we look for:

We are looking for a driven storyteller Ninja to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy and website traffic by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing and content making roadmap.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing an engaging Press Release, Social Media and Listing Content for English speaking audience
  • Building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research
  • Generating and sharing content daily that builds meaningful connections
  • Setting up and optimizing company pages within each social media platform

 

Job brief:

  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Work with Management Team and the CEO to identify internal and external communications opportunities and risks, and define and execute appropriate strategies – this includes direct and operational support for all mattes of Management Communications

 

Primary Requirements:

  • 27 Years Old
  • Fluency in writing in English (Being a good story teller is a plus)
  • Very fluent in using Facebook, Instagram, Kaskus, and Twitter (Excellent knowledge of Snapchat / Reddit / VKontakte / Mixi is a BIG PLUS!)
  • Willingness to travel internationally and nationally to rural areas

 

Good to have but NOT MANDATORY Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist is a plus
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations is a plus but not mandatory

 

Duty Station:

  • All Ninja will work at the Koolva office in Ubud – Bali, Indonesia.
